MEPS APPROVE REVISED EU ECOLABEL SCHEME AVAILABLE FOR COSMETICS AND SOAP PRODUCERS

BY KEITH NUTHALL REFORMS have been approved by the European Parliament to a revised European Union (EU)-wide ecolabel system, making it tougher for personal care product manufacturers to secure regarding the use of environmentally damaging chemicals. Soaps and shampoos are currently covered by the existing system, although new products - such as cosmetics - could be added in the future under the new regime.
