THE EUROPEAN Commission has proposed the potentially toxic solvents trichlorobenzene (TCB) and toluene should not be used to make adhesives, where their concentration is 0.1 per cent or more of the finished product by mass. The move follows a European Commission assessment of the risk to human health and the environment posed by TCB and toluene.
