ADDED VITAMINS

EUROPEAN Union (EU) manufacturers of vitamin and mineral-enriched foods should include recommended daily intakes of added substances on product labels, alongside a warning not to exceed this allowance, the European Parliament's environment and food safety committee has proposed. This regulation on vitamins and minerals in food would also ban adding these substances to fresh non-processed fruit.
