OTTAWA AIRPORT TO START USD34 MILLION MAKEOVER

OTTAWA’S Macdonald-Cartier Airport is to begin a Canadian dollars CAD45 million (USD34 million) makeover this year (2019), starting with the construction of an enlarged food service and retail area, plus a new security screening facility, which is expected to take up to two years to complete. This will launch a five-year expansion programme, which will also involve the construction of a new airport hotel and a light railway station, linking the airport by metro-railway to the Canadian capital’s city centre.
