THE MEMBER countries of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will miss their April 30 deadline to agree overall goals (called 'modalities') for the WTO Doha Development Round's agriculture agreement talks. WTO director general Pascal Lamy now says this agreement may not now be reached until July, although called for a deal "within weeks rather than months".
