UK EMPLOYEE FRAUD LOSSES DOUBLE TO HIT GBP88 MILLION

Reported business losses from employee fraud in the UK more than doubled in the last year to hit GBP88 million (USD113 million), according to the latest figures from national fraud and cyber crime reporting centre Action Fraud, which audit network RSM obtained through a freedom of information request. This was more than double the GBP40 million (USD51 million) reported lost in 2016-17 for employee fraud, such as submitting business expense claims for personal expenditure or claiming overtime that was not worked.
