SWEDEN THREATENS BRUSSELS WITH LAWSUIT OVER ENDOCRINE DISRUPTERS

THE SWEDISH government is to propose national legislation outlawing certain endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) in 2014, including those used in textiles. This, notwithstanding delays by the European Commission to introduce criteria to ban specific EDCs found in anti-bacterial agents used in the manufacture of shoes and clothing.
