RED BULL SELF-CHILLING DRINKS

A PROPOSAL to immediately ban the use of HFC gases in self-chilling beverage containers has been made in a recently released expert report ordered by the European Commission on reducing emissions hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulphur hexafluoride. The paper's authors, consultants Ecofys and Öko-Recherche, fear that the little-used technology could become popular, because of growing commercial interest in self-chilling beverage containers.
