The director of the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO) David Green has claimed the 2016-17 financial year was “another successful year for the SFO, with a number of long-running investigations reaching positive resolution,” in a statement on performance in the SFO annual report. Yet separate ministry of justice figures released to law firm Pinsent Masons following a freedom of information request, show UK prosecutions for white-collar crime plummeting.
