G8 MINISTERS CALL FOR OIL INVESTMENT TO BUCK RECESSION

G8 energy ministers have urged oil companies to invest in new production capacity despite the recession. "Fossil fuels will continue to be a key component of the energy mix in most countries...for many decades," stressed a communiqué issued by a meeting in Rome.
