EMA LAUNCHES MAJOR ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE PUBLIC CONSULTATION

THE EUROPEAN Medicines Agency (EMA) has launched a major public consultation on the risks to public (and animal) health caused by the use of antibiotics in livestock. Organised at the request of the European Commission, EMA’s special AntiMicrobial Expert Group (AMEG) will manage this consultation. Pharma companies have been asked to participate in a February 28 meeting designed to help them contribute to this process, which will end between April and September, depending on the topics being assessed.
