CRYPTO CRIMINALS NETTED USD24.2 BILLION IN 2023 SAYS CHAINALYSIS

Crypto criminals netted at least USD24.2 billion worldwide in 2023 from scams, hacking, ransomware and other illicit uses of cyberspace, according to the latest preliminary assessment by American blockchain consultants Chainalysis. The figures in Chainalysis’ ‘2024 Crypto Crime Report' (1) are based on transfers to illicit addresses identified by the company, as well as stolen funds.
