CLONED ANIMAL FOOD TO BECOME OFFICIALLY APPROVED WITHIN THE EU

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE MANUFACTURE of meat and dairy products from cloned animals is likely to become legal in the European Union (EU) under a revised EU novel food regulation. This prospect follows a vote at yesterday's EU Council of Ministers (agriculture) approving changes to this law, which require conformation by the European Parliament to enter into force.
