A QUICK and cheap method of testing chemicals' toxicity is being developed by the US Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Using computer advances, genomics and cellular biology, this high-speed in-vitro testing method will allow "the testing of hundreds of thousands of chemicals a day", said the US National Human Genome Research Institute.
