TITANIUM DIOXIDE PRICES CONTINUE TO RISE

THE PRICE of titanium dioxide, used to blanch textiles, has been rising fast. European ink manufacturer association CEPE has warned prices for the white pigment have risen by more than 70% between January 2010 and December 2011, "meaning an average increase of +30% per year". Recession-sparked manufacturing closures and continued high global demand have caused the price hike.
