THE EUROPEAN Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released a technical guide helping cosmetics and other chemical-based companies assess inorganic substances with the same chemical composition but with different crystalline forms. These are regarded as different substances under European Union chemical control system REACH, and so require separate registration
